Seoul, South Korea: Travel Memory # 13

April 12, 2012

I’m currently in Peru and Bolivia with spotty internet access, but have scheduled posts of some of my favourite travel photos from over the years. Enjoy!
Seoul, South Korea, October 2010

 Seoul DOES have soul.

People often overlook South Korea as a travel destination- it doesn´t have the exoticism, monuments, and allure of South East Asian countries like Thailand, Cambodia, and Indonesia.  But I thoroughly enjoyed my 5 days in Seoul two Octobers ago:  the food is to die for, the wide, tree-lined avenues and crisp air remind me of home, the people are SO RIDICULOUSLY NICE and helpful that I feel like I could live there forever.

Funny, because while I wasn´t excited about going there at first, now I can´t wait to go back.

Seoul is a great city, and any visit there must include a trip to the fish market. You can buy ANYTHING, and the market is surrounded by restaurants–that don’t serve any food! You just bring what you bought in the market and they prepare it for you, and serve you tons of beer and soju! Best place in Korea in my opinion!
